Managing Endometriosis: Support, Resources & Lifestyle Tips

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and we want to remind all the incredible women in our community that we are here to support you. Managing endometriosis flare-ups and symptoms can be challenging, but with the right resources and lifestyle choices, you can take control of your well-being.

We offer helpful tools like my eBooks (Glow Cleanse, Winter Glow etc.) focused on anti-inflammatory diets, which can help you manage triggers and reduce flare-ups.

Before falling pregnant in 2017, I underwent laparoscopic surgery to treat my endometriosis. Thankfully, this led to a successful pregnancy, but I understand firsthand how debilitating this condition can be.

Here are the things I learnt over the years on how to manage triggers

Exercise: Engage in light to moderate exercise at least four times a week. Even something as simple as a hott girl walk three times a week can make a difference.

Keep Warm: I always ensure my feet stay warm – something I found essential in my own journey with endometriosis.

As motherly as I’m sounding right now, make sure you always have a warm top when the weather switches up on you; exposing your lower back and your tummy can create bigger damage down the road or can create underlying issues that you might not be aware of.

Compression: When you’re feeling sensitive, be sure to compress; so things like wearing compression underwear or just a plain pair of spanks, can really keep your contractions at bay, keeping your belly secure and pain free. That’s what’s important, it’s not about snatching your belly, it’s about keeping it pain free.

Managing Triggers

Endometriosis flare-ups are often caused by:
– Stress
– Alcohol
– Lack of sleep
– Inflammatory foods

By making conscious lifestyle adjustments, you can minimize discomfort and improve your quality of life.

Fitness:

As someone who suffers from endometriosis, certain exercises might cause you to have a flare up; things like high intensity exercises any kind of martial arts boxing or high intense physical training that requires anyone to punch you in the tummy things etc. are important to note about how it can trigger off a flare up or pain.
